Welcome

We are meditation practitioners living in Nova Scotia, the ancestral and unceded land of the Mi'kmaq. Our group is dedicated to awakening and embodying bodhichitta, the flame of wisdom and compassion, in ourselves and our world.

We are connected to Tara Mandala, a Buddhist retreat centre and worldwide sangha under the direction of Lama Tsultrim Allione.

Lama Tsultrim visited Nova Scotia and led Feeding Your Demons and Dakini Mandala retreats in 2017 and 2018. Lopöns Charlotte Rotterdam and Pieter Oosthuizen taught Kapala Training in 2018 and 2019, and Tulku Ösel Dorje introduced us to a special Green Tara practice in 2023.

In November 2023, Lama Tsultrim encouraged Susan Lorraine (Szpakowski) to begin sharing some of the Tara Mandala practices with others, conferring the title Chögé, Virtuous Teacher of Dharma.
